Ernst and Young

Anthony joined the Ernst and Young Brisbane, Australia office for a six month period in January 2015 as the Director, Risk Assurance.  Personal circumstances required Anthony to return to Canada later that year.

As the Director for the Risk Assurance practice in the region, Anthony had leadership responsibilities for the IT risk assurance service area.  This involved management of the overall portfolio, strategic planning, business development, resource planning and personnel management for the IT risk assurance team, and engagement management incorporating all aspects of planning, execution and reporting as well as engagement profitability analysis. Particular highlights include:

- Overall oversight of the external IT audit portfolio for the office; part of senior leadership team strategizing opportunities to increase external marketplace presence

- Met with audit partners as a group and individually to educate and develop a plan for further engagement of IT audit resources

- Planned and scheduled the backlog of sold work amongst the team members and monitored ongoing results and achievements in delivery

- Led major SOC2 and external audit engagements for planning and review of deliverables

- Consulted with the Queensland auditor general's office on an update to their SOC2 policy, developed training materials on the updated standards and performed quality assurance review on selected engagements

- Led business development activities for IT risk assurance services in the office
